Internet Auction Equipment

The following equipment will be necessary to broadcast a livestock auction live via the Internet with video, audio, asking price, draft information and receiving bids. Your equipment provider may recommend similar or upgraded items.

1. Laptop – (Any brand)
   1. Minimum of 512 MB RAM
   2. Average hard drive will be adequate
   3. Laptop should have Windows XP Pro
   4. LAN port for Internet connection
   
   
2. 2nd Flat screen monitor (Any brand)
   1. Recommend a 15” LCD flat screen monitor
   
   
3. Camera
   1. Compatible for video broadcast
   2. The equipment source for the test market recommends security cameras due to their ability to stand up to dust and dirt.
   3. The camera should have lens options to adjust to different lighting situations and zoom capabilities.
   
   
4. Server – (Back End Computer)
   1. 1 computer with a 200GB hard drive and minimum of 512 MB RAM
   2. Video card with at least 128 MB RAM
   3. Windows XP Pro
   4. Average processor size will work
   5. LAN port for internet connection

6. High-Speed Internet Access
   1. Recommend a 512 KB upload speed
   2. Internet should be hard wired. Wireless Internet is not recommended for general fixed facility use due to drops of the signal. Wireless can be made available for mobile sales or off property sales.
