World Livestock Auctioneer Championship Qualifying Event to take place at Arcadia Stockyards October 20
Blaine Lotz, 2014 World Livestock Auctioneer Champion, to attend event
Arcadia Stockyards, 2719 Earnest St., Arcadia, Fla., will host the first of three qualifying events for the 2015 World Livestock Auctioneer Championship (WLAC). The eastern regional qualifying event will be October 20. A total of 28 contestants will compete for a top 10 placing that grants them a spot in the 2015 WLAC at Clifton Livestock Commission Co. in Clifton, Texas.
An actual cattle sale will take place, and the reigning World Livestock Auctioneer Champion, Blaine Lotz, will be attending the qualifier as event emcee.
Contestants competing at the first WLAC qualifying event are Zach Ballard, Chariton, Iowa; Frederick Bodnarus, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Jeff Bynum, Attalla, Ala.; Albert Carroll, Omemee, Ontario; Darren Carter, Ninety Six, S.C.; Shannon Davis, Winnsboro, Texas; Mason Duncan, Fort Duchesne, Utah; Will Epperly, Dunlap, Iowa; Dennie Flock, Burlington, Colo.; Brandon Frey, Creston, Iowa; Philip Gilstrap, Pendleton, S.C.; Marcus Kent, Fla.; Dumnellon, Fla.; Mark Lane, Russellville, Ala.; Wade Leist, Boyne City, Mich.; Brian Little, Wann, Okla.; Jacob Massey, Petersburg, Tenn.; Larry Nisly, Lore City, Ohio; Bill Patton, Vienna, Mo.; Alex Popplewell, Russell Springs, Ky.; Paul Ramirez, Tucson, Ariz.; Henry Redmond, Poplarville, Miss.; Jay Romine, Mt. The auctioneering competition will be streamed live at www.LMAAuctions.com beginning at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Each contestant will sell 15 drafts of cattle.
