LMA continues to monitor the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) reporting requirements reported on in previous DNBs.
On November 22, 2017, a full week after the reporting deadline, the D.C. Circuit Court issued a decision to delay, until January 22, 2018, the mandate that livestock facilities file reports for emissions of pollutants, such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide from manure and urine.
An effort for a legislative solution to this issue is still in the works. If you have any questions about CERCLA reporting requirements, reach out to LMA General Counsel, Jara Settles at email@example.com.
