LMA Provides Comments on  E-Connectivity Rural Broadband Project

In March 2018, Congress allocated $600 million to a pilot project to be allocated for the improvement of broadband access in rural areas across the United States. Specifically, the Broadband e-Connectivity Pilot Program will focus on rural areas defined as having 90 percent of households without sufficient access to broadband.

As LMA members continue to look for more avenues to improve their businesses, LMA submitted comments on their behalf outlining the need for stronger broadband access in rural America.

LMA will continue to stay engaged with USDA and industry stakeholders on this issue, and LMA members with questions on the pilot project and rural broadband access should contact LMA VP of Government and Industry Affairs, Chelsea Good, at cgood@lmaweb.com or 816-305-9540.
