LMA is requesting members reach out to their members of Congress to encourage support of an electronic logging device (ELD) delay.
Specifically, members should ask that their representatives and senators sign on in support of a pair of letters being circulated to encourage a year-long delay of the ELD mandate via the appropriations process.
The relevant delay language passed the House of Representatives earlier this fall, but has stalled out in the Senate. Senators Moran (R-KS) and Heitkamp (D-ND) have taken the lead on the Senate side and Representative Marshall (R-KS) is leading the charge in the House.
For copies of these letters and for more information about how to reach out to your members of Congress, please contact LMA General Counsel, Jara Settles at firstname.lastname@example.org.
